I am eagerly awaiting the 24-85 version. There's an 18-50mm model too. Both with 1.8 lenses. Right now I carry one of the Nikon 1 mirrorless cameras to supplement the DSLRs, but it has some issues. http://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/premium-compact-cameras/premium-compact-cameras.pageJanet Zinnhttp://www.jczinn.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7419332018258281728.post-13223769048951487412014-10-09T15:46:34.681+02:002014-10-09T15:46:34.681+02:00Thanks for popping in, Tobie! Alas, the phone image will have to suffice. I do think it might be worth it investing in a small camera that can shoot basic RAW files at relative wide angles for quick snaps and general travel use.Morkel Erasmushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03532653808817857230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7419332018258281728.post-49822046017260891862014-10-09T15:45:07.447+02:002014-10-09T15:45:07.447+02:00You are correct, I might play with the DSLR shot s...You are correct, I might play with the DSLR shot some more. I love my D800 but it is a very fickle sensor and I normally shoot at higher shutter speeds than I normally would for each focal length to get sharp images handheld.Morkel Erasmushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03532653808817857230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7419332018258281728.post-36975976980711912172014-10-09T15:43:12.665+02:002014-10-09T15:43:12.665+02:00Right on Roxanne. This makes me wonder why I leave my (reasonably potent) compactflash at home during safari's as it can be quite useful for wide angles and macro's!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09631346405877361231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7419332018258281728.post-30661572148190165622014-10-09T13:50:34.258+02:002014-10-09T13:50:34.258+02:00Morkel was that taken with the iphone 5s?Morkel was that taken with the iphone 5s?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12119836708490252513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7419332018258281728.post-18043945270483363182014-10-09T09:56:31.257+02:002014-10-09T09:56:31.257+02:00Nebrownii is one of my favourite places!
